Because riding a V-twin engine that is designed INTENTIONALLY to shake and rattle is pretty silly . . . especially when that same engine can be made to run much much more smoothly. Odd engineering that has become a (misplaced, IMHO) national icon.I've never ridden a Harley, I wouldn't know.
ETA: Really having to think hard, can't believe I've never ridden one.
