    Yes, very nice buck.

I look back upon the deer I harvested and regret I didn't: Eat the heart, liver and tongue.

Man, I hope you and your son have taken the time to eat those beautiful, often overlooked bits of goodness.

He hasn’t answered yet, so I’ll fill in for him the best that I can. I have seen that blind once so that makes me an expert. Shot was right at 100 yards, bullet was one of those magic 168 grain BTHP’s that vaporized the heart and both lungs but with no damage to the meat. That stabilizing sticker on the scope held it nice and steady for a direct hit.

He actually missed the heart by about 1/2 inch
When we field dressed it, the bullet entered just above and behind the heart at a flat angle but it darn near liquified the top half of the right lung and exited the other side clean.

He held right behind the right shoulder but he was not perfectly broadside.
He hit right where he wanted

    No meat was damaged
The deer hunched over hard and ran about 30 yards and fell over dead.

Weird thing is on the video there is a white mass that shows up as the bullet hits but it looks higher and way further back of where the actual entry wound was.
I thought it was a vapor trail from the bullet but it appears to hang in the air above his back while he rotates to run away.

But you won't post the video, so we have to take your word for it.

For Dorkpie, here is the loading data for that gun.
You probably wont understand what all of those tricky numbers are for. That's field notes from load testing

I was using 87 gr. Hornady SP with 35 grains of 4064
