Looks like a prototype of a Kalashnikov rifle (SKS)
Or at least and upside down one

Also kinda looks like an M4 at the business end with Russian furniture

    I will call her Edna.

That don't look like no Mauser I've ever seen. It looks like a semi auto to me because of the block like end of the forend. I still think it looks more like an M-14 more than anything.

That is a Spanish FR-8. fires the 7.62x51 (.308). And there is a link on surplusrifle.com

Give the man a gold star. The FR-8 is great little rifle. There has been a decade's worth of debate if the Mauser chassis which is either a 1893 or a 1916 is stout enough for modern 7.62x51 NATO ammo. I have never heard of one grenading. Great shooter and hard to come by. It was produced just before the Cetme.

Ya gotta keep an eye on the Hawg; he drags is stuff from all over the world.
He showed up one time with a 3 legged monkey with a kangaroos tail.
    Its name was Hauji.
He got it from some guy in Pakistan.;)
Dam thing sounded like an AT&T trouble tech - dam-dist thing I ever saw!

When I first saw one about 15 years ago, they were going for about $115 delivered. The last time I saw one at a gun show, the guy was asking $365.

This one I picked up with my C&R about 8 years ago for about 150 I think. Came in unfired condition. Hey Mo, I haven't seen Hauji since that day. He isn't held captive in a tent in your back yard is he?
