What the hell is going on.
They've been launching B 52's off and on all morning?
That use to be normal when it was a SAC base but rarely seen once it became a joint base.
My house is in the N-S runway approach and take-off path.
Those dam things at 500 ft rattle your windows when taking off.
Back in the 90's I live a block away and would go down and watch aircraft land and take-off all day. Bring a lunch and a 12 pack and spend the afternoon. Some times if there were a lot of cars there some of the fighter pilots gave a little after burner show for ya.

Depends really. Squadrons could be deploying. Pilots could be getting in their proficiency hours/bounces. This weekend is Army-Navy and some genius decided to make it drill weekend as well (different work schedule than regular). That person should be run up the flagpole in his underwear.

Our family lived under the flight path for Kelly AFB in San Antonio from 1968 to 1974, and flights came over every minute from 7 AM to 11 PM. B-52s would come in for servicing and repair all the time, and I can attest to how loud they are. I feel your pain.

They have been coming over my house headed west. By the time they get here though, all you see is contrails, and no noise. I haven't seen them like this in some time.

I used to live on Bonnie Dr. close to the traffic circle and almost right under final approach. I sure don't miss the 24/7 noise but I did have one of the best seats in town when the Blue Angels came for air shows.

I heard from my older neighbors that the B-36's back in the fifties would make your teeth rattle when they were coming in.

There are no B-52's less than 40 years old, and they can still give the enemy hell.
    God love 'em

God love em but dam I hate the things when they fly over my house on take-off. Rattles the glass's right out of the cabinet.

We had the C5's and Fighter's overpowering our tv's from Kelly. Even since we moved over here to Helotes, the C5's come over here also. Good to know they're on the job, but boy are they loud. :texas:

I repaired instruments and flight controls on military jets for 10 years. That's the sound of freedom.

I imagine there are plenty of places to move that have less noise than under the glide path of a big runway. Have you checked out any other places?

I never understood why anyone would built a residential zone at the end of a busy runway. Those area should be industrial areas and build residential areas where some industrial areas are now.
