Never been to a get together. I kinda figured it almost requires an outdoor range, so we can group up and talk. Carters is good for that but it is stupidly expensive. The Dayton range has nothing there but the range. And one porta potty last time I was there. Never been to the Liberty range. There is a great Hamburger Place (Jaxs) across the street from the Court House. Angle style street parking and everything. Don't know how far the range is from downtown Liberty.
The indoor ranges are all nice, but they are indoor ranges.
This D Range place? Is it the one off 59 that used to have signs up saying "Come shoot a machine gun?" Has it been refurbished? Last time I was in there the big claim to fame was a pool table. The floor was slanted. The carpet actually stank. The whole place reeked of cigarettes and people that never left. They were nice enough but I didn't want to stay. Since the 70's I've been there 5 or 6 times because they let us simulate night fire and shotgun quals. It was fun cause we rented the whole range and got in a lot of shooting. It's been 15 years since I've been there.

    Tomball/Magnolia
Reeve's out in Liberty is a good one also. Remote, not crowded, $5 a gun, but a bit of a drive for some I guess.

We also own a feed store and I went to Chachere Feed just west of Dayton a few times. I remember seeing a sign for "gun range" on whatever road they're on. Don't remember much more than that since I'm in Tomball area, but it might be worth a look...that might be Reeve's(?)

That's Dayton gun range. It's about 3 miles down that road

    Shot placement is everything.
