The Nikon P-223 is the best range scope for the money IMO but you won't get it for 150. I think the cheapest I've seen it is around 175 but then you've got to buy a pair of rings for it that will run another 45 or so.

I'm looking forward to reading some of the other answers as I am always open to optics suggestions.

Found the P-223 for you for $149.94, $174.90 if you want the rings with it Nikon P-223 3x32 BDC Carbine Rifle Scope FREE S&H 8496-KIT1, 8496. Nikon Rifle Scopes., probably the best option for your price range. I have the Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 on one of mine and it is a really well made sturdy scope for the price ($179.95 for my model) Nikon ProStaff Waterproof 3-9x40 Riflescopes Rifle scope 6320 6311 6310 3-9x40mm. I will say stay far away from The Sportsmans Guide, the package looked like it had been kicked around a lot, could have been the shipping company yes but it was not packaged well at all, barely any filler in the box and not sealed well, surprised it actually made it.

The wooden furniture is gone for now, and it was in Komifornia legal mode here with a bullet button and 10 round mag.

I've always dug the wood look. I'm probably going to use wood on one of my future builds if I can find nice enough wood.

Sorry I'm gonna thread-jack a little but the scope is in these pictures so you can think of this as me showing you different angles of the Nikon Prostaff. I really did like the wood furniture setup however where the handguards met the delta ring the wood was just too flimsy and ended up cracking causing the handguards to move around a lot, I ordered the set through brownells and have contacted them to which they said they would offer to replace them or give me a refund but haven't been able to follow through with it as the set is boxed up in storage right now because of our move back to Texas. If it's too late to hold them to the offer I'll probably put the set up for sale here and see if I get any bites plus been thinking about free floating the barrel, but here's some pics of the full rifle.
