I had a "Kimber" .22 conversion kit - it looked good, but thats about it. It was not that accurate and the last shot did not hold the slide open...If you lost count and pulled the trigger 11 times you'd get a ding on the top of the chamber. I didn't like the "Kimber".

So I bought a Nelson .22 kit. About $400 and a four month wait. But it is everything the "Kimber" was not. One-hole accuracy, Slide locks back on the last shot, Weaver rail for a red-dot sight.

The Nelson kit is a superior piece of equipment - It works well and my skills with the 1911 are getting much better. (And its a lot of fun to make tiny groups with a handgun!)

    Will post pix soon.

    Nice!

I have had very good luck with my kimber .22 slide, but it may just be luck.
It may be poor QC on their part as well
