It's somewhat of a wildcat similar to .50 Beowulf and .458 Socom. In that regards it's something that is both hard to reload cheaply, and hard to find locally. Given it's potential and power, I'd probably stick with a traditional 7.62 NATO upper.

Either way, big bore ARs are down right fun.

I agree was also looking into the 6.5 Grendal but just not sure.Reason for the .450 allready have a Bushmaster and love it so thought about sticking with the brand.

Looking for accuracy and knock down for hunting pigs in close range. Think the large caliber AR would compliment my .41 mag S&W for a long brush gun, but would like to stay with standard size lower.

Then .450 would be better suited, that or .50 Beowulf.

Yea maybe but if i wanted to go punch paper ballistics and accuracy is not that favorable, fairly slow moving in the rifle world. But energy is pretty high which is a god thing for pigs exspecially a large one.

The .450 is a good hog round. There has been some discussion about it on Texasboars. Everything has been positive, with only one guy saying it wouldn't go as far as he liked.......several hundred yards. So, unless you are shooting longer than a few hundred yards, you should be good. This is all second-hand knowledge, as I don't have one (but I'd love to buy the upper). I think Hornady is the only one making ammo for it right now, but I don't think that is a problem. I know that Gander Mountain stocks it.

School bus at 20 MPH or motorcycle at 100 MPH, both get the job done.
