Okay, out of the blue, a buddy called and said he wanted to sell his Benelli Nova 12ga. He wasn't asking much, so I met up with him and handed over a couple bucks.
Now, I have my first shotgun. I was thinking of getting the recoil reducer thing that goes inside the buttstock. Does anybody have any experience with these? Are they effective, worth the money?
I'll probably just use it for skeet. I would love to try slugs through it, hunting hogs. But, the barrel is smooth and I am under the impression that you need a special slug barrel to do that (or, to do it with any accuracy). Does that sound right?
Any suggestions?
