New Braunfels area apartments/houses rentals? With or without roomate...

Got a buddy looking to rent a house or apartment - he just moved back to the states from overseas, so trying to keep his costs down. He'd be good with sharing a place, as well. Single, smokes, goes by the nickname of "Shorty"....ducks under some doorways...really nice guy, so anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

I got some room here on the North East side... No smoking in the house and I've got an insane little coyote-like dog (scared of her own shadow...), but it is a house.
