I think you will find hunting here quite a bit more enjoyable than in Minnesota. I spent 10 years up in Minneapolis, I do miss Minnesota fishing but I'm happy to trade some pike and walleye for feral hogs! It's great to have an animal in season all year round with hardly any restrictions.

Welcome! My mom's side of the family is from Aitkin/Brainerd area and we try to go up there for the family reunion every other year. I haven't hunted up there since '95 though. We do get our fishing on while up there. My dad (who lives in Iowa) had a hankering for walleye so he was up there all last week fishing with my uncle.
