New guy Oklahoma -> Texas

From the greatest state in the nation (Oklahoma) to the worst (Texas). Moved here for my job in the aviation industry several years ago. I'm very interested in military surplus firearms and have a decent collection. I would like to be active in the classifies and plan on it. I'm located in Haslet and noticed on the classifieds many posts are no where near the DFW area which is surprising. Am I better off using another website for people more local to me?

Welcome. I lived in OK for 7 years, like Oklahoma and Okies. My daughter is OU graduate (note, I am not a sports fan) I'm native Texan, family was here during the Republic of Texas.

as proof of Texas citizenship, this is on my father's grandfathers grave marker. He is buried in a cemetery 1 mile from my house at the farm. He donated land for the community school, church and cemetery.

He was a citizen of the "Republic of Texas" (he was born there during the Republic)

Welcome to the forum from another person born in Oklahoma. Parents moved to North Texas when I was 2. I prefer Texas but can't pass up trips to Eastern Oklahoma for the mountains.
