I was a nco lots of front seat time but not a pilot.started on AH-1G's-hueys and apaches when I retired.

I certainly love me some attack chopper at dawn. Cobras, are by far, my favorite attack chopper.

I had the opportunity to chat with a Cobra pilot from Vietnam, and he had some pretty cool stories. He said that later, while he was stationed in Germany that they would sometimes race the East German Hinds.

I did a couple of tours with the 2nd acr.we flew the east german border.it was interesting.

You might have known the guy. He's an employee of Mitek now, name was Jim I believe, tall, from the Midwest.

the cobra pilots were a great bunch of guys.back then it was flying by the seat of your pants.I was aircraft armament mini-guns & 40mm chunkers I had a blast.
