Academy Sports did the same thing to me after buying a revolver.
the gun manager had to explain sales/paper work and had to walk me to the exit with the gun in her posession.

Yeah, me too....I asked her if she was going to carry it to my car....got a dirty look and back inside she went...

That happened to me when I bought my pistol from them, but they did let me buy ammo as well.

Gander Mtn. walked me and my new Mosin to the door when I bought it. No biggie. Most places do that. Doesn't bug me really.

Maybe, but Wally World made me fill out the 4473 three times because my penmanship went outside the little box. And had to show DL and CHL..about an hour for paperwork.....

Just bought the Marlin 60 today. I didnt get the stainless because it was $50 more but both walmarts I went to had the stainless. I went to buy the ruger 10/22 and ended up with the marlin 60. I also had to take the walk of shame, but was able to buy 450 rounds of ammo with my gun. Walmart in mesquite has a lot of 22 ammo and are limiting 2 boxes of each brand of ammo. Bought my marlin for $148 + tax.
