Turns out he was diagnosed with Parkinson's, and an autopsy revealed he had Lewey body dementia. Interesting article.

His wife said he was sober for years, and that addiction did not contribute to his suicide.

That was my understanding of it too. He went out on his terms. Not the disease.

Miss him in movies. You could tell in this interview he was hurting inside.

I'm not big on celebrities..... But I thoroughly enjoyed Robin and was pissed when it happened. I knew I wouldn't get to see his talented work ever again.

Robin Williams was a comic genius without a doubt. From what I had read, he did suffer from depression and fought a battle against it for years. I had suspected that was the reason for his suicide. That might have been wrong.

What Dreams May Come, might have been one of his best movies as a more dramatic artist, rather than a comic.

MIL had Lewey body dementia. We moved her 1 block away from us but after 8 years, she suddenly required 24 hour caregiving and passed within 3 months. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

I’d never even heard of it prior to reading that article.

I never minded watching him in 'character' but to see him on 'interview-shows' like Johnny Carson made my head hurt.

He NEVER STOPPED the manic overacting. You simply could NOT have a normal conversation with the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
