New pistol

Bought a new (to me) pistol yesterday. Taurus Tracker 9 shot. 22/.22 mag with a 6 1/2" barrel, blued finish.

I haven't even taken pics of it yet, but I'll try a get some and post them up.

Shot at about 9 yards. I hadn't shot a pistol in over 15 years, but that wasn't the worst of it. I got home and started playing around with it, and then I realized how fuzzy the sights were at arms length.

If u you clean it really good you can get the fuzzy off the sights.

Well, right now, she's in pieces, and I'm waiting on some eyewear that may help bring the sights into focus.
Next time I go, it'll be up against the Ruger Single six, and possibly the 9 shot High Standard.

I'm not sure what you're waiting on, but I have mentioned in several threads about finding "cheater" shooting glasses on Amazon.
They have several options on magnification available.
I was having the same issue, as I have been needing help seeing up close as I get older (59).

Gunsmith replaced the missing spring for free, so the Taurus ought to be back together pretty soon.

Or so I thought....I tried to reassemble the pistol, and the anchor for the hammer spring is missing. Now, this is under the rubber grip, ( which I never could figure out how to take off.)

I've never seen it, but I'll bet ANYTHING it can't be removed if the grip is on.
There was a hole in the bottom of the grip that wasn't there before, and the screw that was exposed was LOOSE!

I don't know what I'm going to do, other than play stupid at first and see what happens.
