New shop going up

This was done by digging a 10" hole and filling it with water a few times over a 24 hr period...still was bear to get in but it's close!

Going to mount the meter base and load center tomorrow if at all possible then call the COOP Monday and tell them to juice me up

Getting the power hooked up will be a huge step in construction. Good luck and be careful in the heat.

Builder keeps plugging away. Just about everything done but the roof sheets and roof trim.

Roof should be done by Thursday

I've got the door company set for Friday

And I got the load center mounted and hooked into the meter box.

Power company said give them 2 weeks..which probably means 3 or more..
Which is ok..when I get my wiring done..ive got a generator that will work fine till I get line power

This is not an undertaking for an impatient man...

I flew the Mavic over the shop today
The sun was bright and or the camera lens was dirty .either way I am not happy with the color as it makes it look very bright whereas it is more of a stone color , regardless, here a few

What I have left is.

Fencing up to the shop to enclose the back yard
landscaping, bring in more rock.. this has to happen before fence goes up
electric starts later next week
foam insulation week after next.

I've been running things on a small generator for now to power outlets and lights

Tomorrow is the final big push to get done

Spray foam is coming at 9 and the building contractor who has been waiting on one last peice of trim is coming to finish installing the gutters

I'm getting a light Grey tint added to the closed cell insulation
Can't wait to see how that looks

Also...not sure if this even matters but I took a ladder and a sprayer with degreaser and wiped down all of the purlins to get the metal shavings and dirt film off of them so the foam would have a clean surface
It's spotless inside waiting for foam crew now

He did the gun shack st my gun range last Sept

The pigment is in the foam..not just the top layer ..so if It gets chipped it won't look funny

Porta cool is going to be more efficient. They are nice.

They will increase moisture in the air so tooling left out will need oil/wipe downs.

Yes sir..we've been using swamp coolers around here for a really long time...fully aware of how they work.

Definitely not good in houses with guns
But before everyone could run AC they were all you could get

Mine is not the biggest model..its rated for 900sq..plan is to wheel it over to where I'm working and use as a space cooler..lol if there is a thing

I have always liked em. When they first hit the market I tried selling em to as many customers as possible.
