Thanks for the video zait. Very comprehensive.

The ported barrel kills it for me.

In the the 90s I was on a ported kick and had a handful of ported CCW guns. I am sooo over that noise, literally. Even with double hearing protection I find those guns annoying. But in an emergency situation with no hearing protection, you will be guaranteed permanent hearing loss.

I can live with the sights and lack of accuracy. I have big dot sights on a few of my guns and have learned how to adjust. Not a problem for me.

My initial thoughts on the ported barrel were the same as the reviewer’s, but I was expecting a bit more out of the sights. I believe I’ll be staying with the standard 365.

I just purchased a 365 XL. I can see the benefits of the 365 SAS. The rear sight looks weird but once you get used to it it will be effective. I think it would have been better if they had put a line night sight under the dot- XS sights which I have on my 1911.

Good video I just watched on it today that goes into detail on the sights.

Wife has the shield with ported barrel. I don't like it. Ammo restrictions with porting and you don't want anyone near your side. Front sight gets filthy too.

Is the porting supposed to make it less snappy / lower recoil?

Yep. It generally works, but there are situations where you may not want porting, and at least if you have a comped pistol, you can remove the compensator

The sights work just fine for me. If you have a green circle with no green dot the sights are misaligned. If you have a green circle and a green dot you are good to go. SIG licenses the sights from Meprolight. Meprolight FT Bullseye sight.

There is no front sight to get dirty on the SAS. Weaker ammo may not make the slide cycle on ported guns. There are warnings on the ammo box.
