Traded a shotgun for a sporterized 7mm mauser. There are zero markings on this gun to indicate anything. Mostly I'm curious about where it's from, is it a Spanish/Chilean/Mexican? I'm thinking Spanish, I've read that the Spaniards ground off all the markings and crests during their civil war. The stock is a straight grip, and the safety is not the traditional 3-position safety found on most Mauser pattern rifles. It only has two positions, safe and fire. Safe does not lock the bolt, just the trigger. Anyone have any thoughts?
