Hello, I'm checking in as a new Texan on the board. I recently moved from the Pacific North West, as I got tired of all the bad politics. I'll be looking for advice on where to hunt both bow and rifle. I'd love to pickup a small pig to butcher every few months. I've got some NFA toys, but I'm not used to city life and having to goto a range to play.
Also if anyone has seen a saint victor pistol in .308, that's next on my want list. Not sure if dealers can actually order them yet, or if Covid demand is still killing inventory. Now that my LTC has arrived I can start my search.
    Anyways, that's my intro.

Howdy and welcome to the forum all you SA peeps.
Also, the wife and I moved to Texas from the Spokane WA area three years ago.
I grew up in SA and still love the city, even though it is tainted by lefty BS. And Mayor Ron.
We are now just up the road from y'all, in Pipe Creek.

What state did you come from? Not much state land in Texas like they have in Wa or Or.
I'm from Oregon. Hence the name "or-slacker". Too late to change it now. In Oregon there are millions of free hunting acres all over the state. I didn't realize how spoiled I was.
