Evening, everyone. New to the site. Haven't fired a gun in 20 years, but now I got the itch again. Been looking around online. I was almost set on the Kahr CM 9, until I saw the RIA Officers 1911. Man, that thing is sexy. Haven't been to any local shops yet, so don't know who, if anyone, around here carries them. Much rather buy local than off the net, if possible. Anyway, didn't mean to be so longwinded.

Welcome to the site. I take it you are looking to buy a RIA Officer's model? I would put it up in the want to buy section or check Texas Gun Trader. Maybe you could check out Red's Gunstore/Range in Phlugerville.

Good that your getting back in the saddle so to speak.

Welcome, and give the CM9 another look.

It is based on the PM9, with some manufacturing changes to the slide to cut costs.

The frame is IDENTICAL, including the best trigger of any SAO 9mm on the market (IMHO).

Mags are interchangeable, and accuracy is better than one could hope for.

    Be well.

    Welcome,

Definately try to test fire what you think you may want if you can, but at the very least, play "touch feely" with as many as you can in shots and gun shows.
