I have a brother in San Francisco and another in Oakland. Both warned me about Austin politics. I told them the difference between the Bay Area and here was that there, they were surrounded by California. Here, Austin is surrounded by....Texas.

Ill be honest I love Austin But i only make it 2 - maybe 3 weeks tops before I flip my lid load up the car, drive out in the middle of no-where and enjoy myself. Not sure what the problem is but after a few weeks of city life/work I just have to go AWOL. Also something about hearing nothing... but hearing it all, out in the middle of nowhere is very appealing..
