My new carry pistol arrives this week boys! I was going to wait to post, but I can't.

I got a screaming deal on a HK USP Compact in .357 Sig. I've always liked that round, and now I got something that will shoot it.

    It's my 4th HK pistol, and 2nd USP Compact (1st was a .45)

Here's a sharp pic of one from Ken Lunde, whom takes some really good photos!

    Alan,
Nice looking "toy". Hope you enjoy it. What kind of velocity does it generate and with what bullet weight? I'm anxiously waiting delivery on another pistol also. This one will be a Wilson Professional (my fourth) with 4" barrel, stainless frame, and black slide. Now we know who likes HK's and who likes Wilson's. Maybe we can get together sometime and punch holes in paper.

    Good shooting and be safe.

Alan. You'll have to let me run a few rounds through it at Red's so I can tell if I want to buy it in a month when you are getting something else!

Impressive velocity, especially from a 4" barrel. Should be quite effective. I would not want to be on the receiving end of it.

    Good shooting and be safe.

Just curious fellas what is/is there a difference between the .357 Mag and .357 Sig?

.357 Mag uses a longer case, and thus can be loaded a bit hotter. .357 Sig is basically the .357 Mag for semi-auto pistols. It's in a shorter, shouldered case but within factory ammo it tends to have the same power.

    That and the fact that the .357 Sig is a re-necked .40 S&W fitted to a .355" 9x19 bullet.

It's the best of both worlds and one of my favorite rounds...

The .357 Mag is a close third though...
