I don’t see where it will ever change for N.Y.C. That is the 5 boroughs’, Queens, Manhattan, Bronx, Staten Island, and Brooklyn. Where outside the city it’s different. A little different, anyway. That is, the red tape.
Which I call Doublespeak, for getting a license for a long-gun and shotgun in N.Y.C.Compared to outside the city limits.
The Doublespeak for getting a handgun outside the city stands as well.
Texas people, people that live in Texas; don’t have to deal with the red tape, The Doublespeak.

Hah, in the early days of our planned move to Texas, we were offered a lot of things to try and get us to move to upstate NY by my wife's father and his girlfriend (fairly sure they'd even have bought us a house, or helped us buy one).

We turned them down flat. I'd rather work and struggle in Texas and be free than have stuff given to me and have to live in that socialist hell hole that is New York.
