    “You’ve got to work at it piece by piece,” he said. “One mom and another mom. You’ve got to wear them down until they finally say, ‘Enough.'"

    Underestimate him at our own peril.
    There are a lot of people moving here from Northern less gun friendly states, and most aren't moving here because they like guns. State demographics are changing, and money talks.

    People just want to be left alone. They'll vote anyway you want them too if it will shutup the person constantly yelling it in their ear. He knows that and will take advantage of those sort of unprincipled people.

    That is entirely too true. Last year, here in Nevada, an extended background check bill made it through our state legislature (which only meets once every 2 years) and onto Governor Sandoval's desk. He, wisely, vetoed it. 10 years ago, bills like that would never had made it out of committee let alone to the legislature floor. Nevada is being infected by libiturds from the Peoples' Socialist Яepublik of Kalifornia. They effed up their state and are moving here to do the same thing. Texas and other gun-friendly states have to remain on guard and vigilant to keep a handle on the gun-grabbing libiturds infesting their states.

    IT will go down something like this.

    "God .. hey God.. Mike Bloomberg here.... you have to let me in...I've earned it"

    God.."Depart from me, you who work iniquity.. I never knew you"

    There was a kick-off meeting for “Everytown for Gun Safety” today at the Austin City Hall. Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo is on Everytown's advisory board. This appears to be supported by Austin city government.

    Group launches nationwide effort to fight gun violence

    It would seem like him doing so in his official capacity would be a conflict of interest, no?
    Wouldn't he be supporting legislation that is contrary to Texas law? Which really should be his only concern in his position.

    I posted dozens of replies to the pro-Bloomberg articles on Yahoo, today. Many of those articles are from other sources and brought in to Yahoo so it's difficult to log into each one and post. One article changed the feedback posting area quickly so as you wrote your post, it switched you to another article. Bloomberg is making sure that dissenting points of view are minimized. BUT..............you can write your post, copy it After it switches you elsewhere, bring it back to the Bloomberg article and paste it.

    Summed up, Bloomberg lit up Yahoo with his anti gun agendas and is making it difficult for dissenters to record their views. It pays to OWN the media, right?
    ===========================================================

    Another tidbit to share about Bloomberg. A while back, his first "Mayors" group had a number of Mayors who were convicted of felonies while in office and were removed from office because of them!

    The latest goody: Some of the new Bloomberg "Mayors Group" have resigned because Little Mike changed the original focus of the group away from reducing ILLEGAL guns. Bloomberg changed the focus to force new controls on guns that are currently LEGAL! The members resigned over it!

    ===================================================================

    I read a good post and will share it here:
    Wanna piss off a Conservative? Lie to him.
    Wanna piss off a Liberal? Tell him the truth!

    Now that you mention it I think you’re right. This is a political issue. A police chief shouldn’t be supporting any political cause when acting in his official caloricity as police chief. He’s basically saying the Austin police department supports this political organization; and by extension it infers the City of Austin supports the groups agenda.

    I’m not a lawyer, but at the very least this seems like a conflict of interest and\or violates some code of conduct. The fact it was held in the Austin City Hall makes me think Austin’s city fathers also support the group.

    All I can say is it sounds like liberal Austin. I doubt any other police chief in Texas would get away with this conduct.

    And hes been doing shit like this since the day he got the job. Including strong-arming gunshows into being shut down.

    It seems that some group, calling themselves a pro-gun group, snagged Bloomturd's campaign name, "Everytown for Gun Safety," and created a page on Farcebook. Seems to have upset the Bloomturd camp though:

    A Pro-Gun Group Stole Bloomberg's Gun Safety Group's Name On Facebook

    When alerted to the presence of the page, a representative at Everytown for Gun Safety said that it wouldn’t be long before it disappeared from Facebook.

    “Maybe they’d like to duel for it,” said Mark Glaze, the executive director of Everytown for Gun Safety. “I hear every person on our staff of 85 is a better shot than Wayne LaPierre. Or maybe a bidding war!”

    We’re going through the proper process for transitioning our Demand Action page to ‘Everytown,’ which takes a few weeks, and acquiring trademark protection for both Everytown and Everytown for Gun Safety. Once that happens, we expect Facebook to shoo these cybersquattters politely off this name/page.”
