Maybe it's my lack of knowledge about procedures, but any of the news images I see the guns don't have magazines.

I don’t know of national guard actually being issued ammunition in any deployments I can remember.

IIRC, they had empty rifles when TXNG went down to the border to help border patrol. My guess is nobody wants a platoon of soldiers to open up on a group of protesters...again.

The Army ceased bayonet training some years back.
Handing Pvt.Snafu a stabby stabby thing will be awesome to watch.

Really? We did it in ‘03. Army is going to shit.

Edit: Not like it’s very likely to be used and I think it was rare to even have bayonets issued even then. But I stand by my opinion of current army training standards.

Isn’t this the same “gestapo” that was sent to protect a courthouse in Portland? Why aren’t they being suitably harassed and told to leave?

You’ll know it when you see it.

Ive been told the optics are mounted on the bottom rail when in transit racks, as the weapon won’t fit with the optic mounted on the top rail.
NG carries mags in pouches until ordered to load, which is probably a very good thing.
