CORPUS CHRISTI - Police have not yet arrested any suspects involved in a Saturday morning shooting outside the Sublime Dive in the 1600 block of South Staples street.
Brothers, Jamie and Jaime Sivas suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds when they got into an argument with six suspected prison gang members as they left the bar.
The owner of the business, 35-year old George Lopez has bonded out of the Nueces Couty Jail on charges that he refused police access to the building during their investigation.
According to police, Lopez only let them into the building after Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission agents ordered him to do so.
Under TABC code, any liquor license holder must allow an inspection at any time.
Due to his refusal of the inspection, Lopez's bar has been shut down until Sunday as the TABC investigates the incident.

I know one place I will not be visiting... I try to stay out of clubs/bars as it is, but sounds like someone had something to hide

CORPUS CHRISTI - Regular patrons of the Sublime Dive will have to find another hangout...at least for the next week.
The bar, now a crime scene, has been closed after the bar owner kept police from doing their job.
A blood splattered parking lot remains after 2 brothers, Jaime and Jamie Silvas were shot by a group of suspected gang members.
But when police arrived to the scene, they found a trail of blood...and a locked door.
Captain Robert McDonald said, "When the officers got there they weren't getting a whole lot of cooperation from the manager."
The club owner 35-year old George Lopez, kept police waiting outside for almost 30 minutes.
Officers from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission were called out and they ordered Lopez to open the door.
"People need to understand that when they have an alcoholic beverage control license, when they're licensed with the TABC they're required to cooperate with the police in a criminal investigation," says McDonald.
According to police, Lopez refused them entry because he was hiding some people inside... though it's not clear why.
"Any time someone hinders a criminal investigation it gets the police attention."
Lopez was arrested for interfering with the investigation and the bar was shut down for violating TABC code.
Captain McDonald says it's an offense they don't take lightly.
McDonald said, "One of the things we want this particular bar owner to understand is that we're not going to tolerate criminal activity in bars on South Staples."
The Sublime Dive will remain closed for at least seven days while the investigation continues

Drive this guy out of business. I'm all for allowing adults access to intoxicants and even more for strict and unforgiving enforcement of the rules.
