One of the highest per-capita tax burdens in the US and they're still going broke. Texas has the lowest per-capita tax burden and we're managing to stay afloat. There's a lesson in there somewhere...
I got out when I saw the signs: infrastructure being ignored and starting to fall apart. The state demanding more money from taxpayers. Businesses shutting down left and right. A big drop in the amount of construction projects.

California has driven out over a million of its most productive citizens to other states. You have to sleep in the bed you make. I wonder if the people in DC realize that that whole high tax, evironmental worship, and entitlment brought down the most stable state economy in the union and took it on the brink of apocalyptic ruin.
