    And why would anyone here advocate methods for crminals to get away with crime? (even though some of those methods are silly at best)

    You realize that the only way you can know that a system is secure is by finding ways to break it, right? If we can think of ways to defeat the system, it's a bad system that has limited (at best) usefulness.

    We're not saying "here's how you should defeat this", we're saying "here's how it could be defeated". If a bunch of law-abiding citizens can defeat this, it doesn't stand a chance against criminals, and is a waste of money.

    I wasn't trying to tell some joe criminal in NY how to get away with a crime. I was trying to show how useless, even counter-productive, such laws were and could be.
