Mine is the previous generation (R1). The only difference that I can see is that mine has two pockets with pistol magazine storage rather than the AR/AK magazines. Dimensions are the same. This has a removable shoulder strap. It's a tough bag with plenty of room for a lot of stuff!! Each large pocket also has a removable padded pistol case that will hold two guns and there is a zip pocket in one of the end pockets that I've used for a gun as well.
