I see some nosler Competition 80 grain .224" for sale, and I was wondering if they could be loaded to magazine length?

the load data on their website says 2.260" so I assume so.

midwayUSA has them for sale $132/k plus shipping. Ends up being a little more than 14 cents per bullet. I have a few pounds of H335. We'll see.

Let us know how successful you are in being able to load a mag and chamber those long ones. I tried some 75 gr. A-Max bullets and gave up trying to get the right powder/COAL dimensions much less gettin' them in the AR magazine.

Thanks, the other issue I had was the bullet seater deforming the tiny little sharp bullet point. Probably just gonna' have to get a different seater.

My RCBS seater does that. I'm not happy with it. I need to call them.
