    .......following on line.

I don't like overproduced Nashville country.
"Alternative" country is my thing. Simpler acoustic is best.
Cut my teeth on Jerry Jeff, Townes and Willie.

Kasey Musgrave won best country album.
Saw her in Austin before anyone knew of her.

    Brandi Carlisle won best "Americana".
Anybody else to see her at "Old Settler's" Fest in April?

    Willie....
    Won.
    Again.

    Give me Bluegrass.

    Yes!!!
Music as music was meant to be.

My latest love is the group "I'm With Her".
Three bluegrass powerhouse women: Aoife O'Donavan from Crooked Still, Sara Watkins from Nickel Creek and prior Grammy winner Sarah Jarosz from our own Texas hill country.

If that's not aural heaven I do not know what is!!!

BTW NPR's "Tiny Desk Concerts" are jewels.

This board could use a music sub-group.

Music transcends cultures, politics, ethnicities, religions, ages, educations, geography, cultures......

I go to politics and news to fight.

I share my love of music to revel in the greatness of our minuscule blip on our planet's existence .

    Mods???
    Perhaps.

This is why the Grammys are irrelevant: In 1965, the best-selling record was Satisfaction; the Beatles recorded Help!; Motown was tearing up the charts. Who won the Grammy for Best Vocal Group? The Anita Kerr Quartet, for their immortal album We Dig Mancini. R&R single of the year?- Roger Miller's King of the Road.

This new country I call "synthetic country". All you need to star is a pretty face, a tight butt and a good synthesizer.

The range of styles amongst the Grammy winners is vast.

I'm not a Childish Gambino fan, though I did see him at ACL.

To my point now.....an amazing Grammy winer is Willie Nelson with his "My Way" album that, rather astoundingly, won Best Popular Album.

It's an assortment of Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Cole Porter and the like.
Music before my time but timeless standards.

I didn't know about this album Willie did last year.

    Wow.
What a talent he still is!!!

Listen is you are in the mood.
Good to listen with your valentine sweetheart?

I'm gonna say "The Wailin' Jennys" and declare the #WIN!

Tight harmony doesn't begin to describe their sound.
