So I know that there are some other pilots and aviation enthusiasts here on the board and thought I'd share an event in Dallas.

THE COMMEMORATIVE AIR FORCE's REDBIRD SQUADRON presents:
    “L-BIRDS OVER NORMANDY”

If you are a history buff, a vintage aircraft enthusiast, love the military, or just want to spend an afternoon learning something about history, join us on June 22nd at Dallas Executive Airport, home of the Commemorative Air Force's “Redbird Squadron,” for a family-friendly educational time as we make a presentation on the history of liaison aircraft in the Normandy Campaign during the Second World War.

We will have our aircraft, a Taylorcraft L-2A “Grasshopper,” and another CAF unit's aircraft on display (We expect other aircraft to attend as well) and will share specifics about they relate to the historical events that took place 75 years ago over France over the beaches of Normandy and beyond.

Lunch will be served for a donation and costumed reenactors will be present to help interpret the displays. This is a “hands-on” event and should be fun for kids with door prizes.

The presentation will be geared towards middle-school youth and up but shouldn't be too boring for younger kids. Space is limited, so plan to come and get your free tickets today!

AND: If anyone knows of a friend who has a vintage WWII artillery piece that could be brought to our presentation, it would be highly welcome if we could pre-arrange that. Our aircraft worked heavily with artillery units.

Also, is this is the wrong place to put this, please move it...
