Fauci on gun violence: ‘How can you say that's not a public health issue?’

Dr. Anthony Fauci said the "horrifying" spate of mass shootings shows why gun violence is a public health issue. His comments came after an Indianapolis FedEx facility shooting killed eight.

Since he will be even more ineffective on this "issue" what crazy ideas will he put forward to stop the "epidemic"? Will he recommend:

1. Avoid mass gatherings especially memorial services, funerals, birthday parties, and any other gathering with liquor
2. Quarantine for two weeks
3. Maintain 21' distancing (more if you do not practice your Tueller Drills)

What other ways do you think Fauci will recommend to stop the shootings?

I sometimes get so mad at the MSM and the comments reported from un-elected idiots, and for that matter, elected idiots that I just shut down and re-read books I like. Today, Dr. Fauci; masks work, masks don't work all the time, 6 feet of separation, 3 feet of separation, no such thing has herd immunity, blah, blah, blah; said that the recent spate of mass shootings show that firearm violence is a public health issue. Like we would like him to tackle gun violence. From what I could get from on-line sources, the CDC states that about 14,000 homicides occurred in the last year of their complete statistics, 2018. They didn't break it down by gang related or heat of passion, et al.

I also found that between 2008 to 2019, approximately 10,000 to 11,000 people are killed by drunk drivers. Apparently that isn't a public health issue. After all, some of our most famous people are/were drunk drivers; Ted Kennedy, Justin Bieber, Tim Allen, Sidney Blumenthal, Chelsea Handler, you get the drift. Why would anyone consider drunk driving a public health issue. We have laws, right?????

Off course we have laws on violence, illegal gun use, et al, but that doesn't appear to be sufficient for liberals/Marxists/minority Racists. More gun control laws will obviously solve the problem. How long have we been cracking down on drunk driving??????
