"After winning the 2022 election and beating former Gov. Sarah Palin, Rep. Peltola has been one of the few Democrats in the U.S. House who didn’t espouse the far-left ideology, instead trying to sit on the fence."

So, we're gonna endorse fence sitters ... and I was close to sending a few bucks too. Gonna be a not yet from my pockets.

Before the NRA supports Peltola, they should support a pro-gun R for her seat, and failing to elect one, make their support contingent on her declaring as a pro-gun independent so her party affiliation does not count towards a D majority.

I don't know. NRA evaluates each candidate by voting record and survey questions and makes a decision on who to support. Out of all of the candidates they supported only one democrat. Maybe that one democrat is the better 2A candidate for that seat and we certainly need democrats breaking rank and voting 2A. Candidate owns 176 guns which is a few more than I own. I am willing to give them a pass on this one unless something new comes out.

The NRA ranks candidates only on their 2A stance. If what was said about her firearms and 2A voting record about this D candidate is true, then it makes sense for a NRA endorsement.

    Indeed!
Supporting a pro-gun D is ONLY better than supporting an anti-gun D. Supporting a pro-gun D is NOT better than supporting an anti-gun R. This is because you need every R (pro and anti) to obtain the majority in the house or senate. Only by having a R majority can you PREVENT anti-gun bills from being drafted, scheduled for debate, and voted on. I was hoping the NRA would understanding how DC works a little better than they do.

The Ds would happily support a pro-gun D in order to beat an R in a conservative district. That pro gun D would then vote "present" or abstain when the D's put their anti gun bill up for vote. Better hope they don't have the votes and a D isn't President, or you have yourself a new anti-gun law of the land.

If the Rs had a rock solid majority in the House and Senate, then it wouldn't matter as much...

Please recall that during Trump's first two years, the GOP had both houses and McConnell blocked all of Trump's initiatives.

    Damned RINOS !

The NRA has some event today here in San Antonio at the Nardis Gun range @ 1604 & Nacogdoches on the north side.
May have to stop in, and ask them some embarrassing questions, like why William Brewers is still with them.

nra endores democrat = I can not endorse nra.

This really depends on the sincerity of the democrat in question.

Personally, I have no trust left after being burned a number of times; most recently by Cedric Richmond.

I was assured by both the head of our NRA Affiliate & a drinking Buddy/State Senator/Baptist Deacon/Democrat/Attorney that Cedric was the ‘’real deal’’, a truly conservative Black Southern Democrat, who carried a 9mm everywhere.

Well, Cedric was fine first term, then we began to trust him. Ginormous mistake; once Pelosi & Schumer got a hold of Cedric, his conservatism was corrected and he turned on his constituents.

    We all saw the result.

So, moi, I just can’t trust ANY democrat.

Now, we have a new & insidious problem here in the Trans-Sabine; our local libtards have become republicans, but remain leftist democrats at heart, ‘’RINO’S”.

Even worse, they are trying to conflate Christian Charity with leftist redistribution theology.

Vote NO on every democrat candidate or idea !
