Afternoon. Kids are needy today, haven't had a chance to even get on here on my phone.
Aleksander is doing well. He's still on a feeding tube via a port in his tummy and oxygen. He's starting to eat more out of a bottle everyday, so we hope to work slowly and steadily toward getting him off the feeding tube. It's still very tiring for him to eat orally. He's not used to it and tires quickly due to his original heart condition. He's also weening off the oxygen. He's halved it and is down to 0.25 liters per minute of oxygen. The specialists say that his pulmonary hypertension is improving slowly and they hope to have him completely off oxygen by the end of this year. He's got a long slow and steady road, but he's moving along it well. He's also been working on holding his head and body up better. He's sitting supported. Still lacks the balance, but had the core strength now. He's also getting much better at coordinating his hands. Hitting toys and grabbing things with intent. Very proud of his progress.

I considered his tattered flag may have special/sentimental meaning before my post and decided not to broach the subject; I will now.A better idea may be to get him a new flag and help him replace it if he wants to.
That flag may have special meaning and he doesn't want it taken down.
Reminds me of the story of a borrowed rifle. To say thanks the borrower has it reblued and in the process removes all the honest wear and tear put on it by generations before. Bye bye sentimental value......
Or it may just be an old wore out flag. Sometimes you never know.
Didnt even notice the finger.Maybe she'll get her damn finger off the trigger......
