Sad news Z Z Top bassist, front man Dusty Hill dies in his sleep. Brings back memories of the concert I first saw them in Las Vegas back in 1973. R.I.P. Dusty.

Rocky, his older brother who passed a few years back, used to demo new tunes he was working on at my studio in the Montrose area, just to hear how they sounded played back. Dusty would occasional stop by and listen in. Down to earth folks.

All the good ones are dropping left and right.

Looks like Jimmy Buffett's gonna have to find another beach ...

Smaller than what I wanted, and was willing to pay for, but we couldn't get the scissor truck in.

From what I hear your prior marriages were like a horror film.

I'm not unsympathetic. Been there lived thru that.

Honestly, both were trips into hell. I survived, and that is all that matters.

But, to get to the point where I am, being married to my current wife, those trips into hell were worth every minute spent there.

This coming September, we will have been married 18 years, which is more than both my previous marriages combined.

I hear you. I just got to 22 years.

When it works it's worth it.

My current wife. Yeah, she's worth it.

My only regret? That she and I didn't meet earlier in life when I could have had children. Not having any children with either of my ex-wives is one thing I don't regret. So there was that one small measure of relief in that once it was over with and done, there was no reason, such as having children together, that kept us in some sort of relationship for the sake of children. I was able to walk away, not have to look back.
