I hate those nights when I get fully awake after every dream cycle. I got some REM sleep, obviously, so they aren't the worst but I've had two of those nights in a row and they take a toll. I pretty much know I'm going to run out of steam early today.

If I knew what caused it, I'd take steps to fix it.

I did some scraping with a scalpel and couldn't see where I could get anything out. The swollen area is now smaller. Darker but smaller. The lump is smaller.

tl;dr - Healing. Healing slow (like with any diabetic) but healing.

When I have nights like that, I take a capful of Nighttime Nyquil. That stuff will knock you out so good you’ll be drooling on your pillow.
