I figured i would lead the charge & get us misfits together for a meet & greet.
I think Carl's BBQ would be a good spot & they have a room in the back for us to use.

I was thinking meet around 6:30 or so grab a bite to eat, & then maybe head over to Shoot Point Blank for some hole punching. They have a shooters pass for $35 a month, if your a veteran its half price... so vets pay $17 for the monthly shooters pass. I stopped by the other day on my lunch break to check it out. The store is pretty nice, prices seemed reasonable, but i did not get to check out the lanes. I may do that this weekend.

If your are interested post up & i look forward to meeting & seeing everyone!

I ate at the Original Shack burger joint there in Cypress recently. Fantastic food there.

Sounds good. My daughter and her family live in NW Houston, about 15 minutes from The Shack. Next time I'm down that way I will let you know.

Interesting to note that The Shack has a "bring your guns" policy, complete with a sign noting they are big fans of 2A.

Interesting that they have a "no midgets, no wheelchairs" rule. If you're under 48" tall, you're not allowed to shoot. Period.

Sounds like an ADA violation just waiting to bite 'em on the butt. :)
Funny thing is my dad was a double amputee in the early 80's in a wheel chair. He could have sued so many people over the ADA, but never did. I could be a trust fund baby right now if he did, but he wasn't that kind of guy.

    Thanks for putting this together!
No problem, its nice to get to meet other like minded folks in the area & its a good way to make new shooting buddies & friends.

I've gotten new fishing buddies from meet & greets over the years & internet forums. Some of them I've known almost 15 years now.

I shot there over the weekend and it's pretty nice. They even sell and let you shoot steel case, just no steel core on the lanes. I will put that on the calendar and try to make it.
