DC you know how hard it is to put down a slinky once you start to play with it - just to much fun to watch it go down the stairs.
Obama and his socialist team want to control every aspect of American life because they feel we Americans are to stupid to look out for ourselves.
Well SCEW him! As far as I'm concerned my eating habits are my own and he can kiss my grits!
Mmmmmmmmmmm, grits, lots of cheese in them with a fried egg on top with crunchy bacon bits sprinkled all over and some hot sauce.

I took myself out of my DC-induced foul mood with a bacon/egg/cheese kolache and a pint of chocolate milk. Wish I could've had Mo's grits too.

you can't force things down the peoples' throats....

Unfortunately, you can... all the drooling mongoloids we call the general public will listen like the children that they are.

I don't mind if the government, or the President for that matter, wants to push for public health, but I think it should be done as an incentive, not a demand. When you boil it down... it's up to the people to be happy, and if eating a pound of Rudy's brisket for lunch makes you happy then go for it. If it gives you a heart-attack 5 years later, then so be it... you reap what you sow.

With the diet I've eaten, it's a miracle I don't weigh 300 lbs. and have a few bypasses under my belt.

I'm highly disappointed in my boy. He's employing the same strategy my dad did when I was a lil' girl. "Do as I say, not as I do."

If he thinks something is good for the country, he should show he'd be willing to do it as well (we call that leadership where I come from).

#1 He smokes (not the end of the world but he's talking about health???)
#2 He makes runs to the local hamburger joint in DC to get the greasiest burgers and fries known to man/wo-man.
#3 He stocks the offices at the White House with M&Ms, cashews, junk food galore (wish I was there!).

I find it offensive that he would even suggest this.

Man in the mirror, where are you???!

    This part is killing me:

Any health care reform plan that Obama signs is almost certain to call for nutrition counseling, obesity screenings and wellness programs at workplaces and community centers. He wants more time in the school day for physical fitness, more nutritious school lunches and more bike paths, walking paths and grocery stores in underserved areas.

Ok, so one, he's going to force us into nutrition counseling, then check and see how fat we are (or aren't), and mandate wellness programs (WTF is that?) at privately-owned workplaces. And to top it off, he's going to cut more classroom time out of the school day for exercise, cause kids can't possibly do that at home, and because kids get more than enough classroom time.. it's not like we're churning out functionally illiterate young adults who don't know how to find their own ass with two hands, a GPS, sherpa and map.

Okay, Odumbass can bite me ...

    I had 2 sausage/cheese/jalapeno kolaches, cinamon/sugar twist, and a Dr. Pepper for breakfast. (9-ish)

A McDonalds #8 with extra pickles for lunch (4-ish)

A Shiner Bock for dinner (right now).

With any luck, I'll have the same tomorrow.

    Governor vs Federal Govt.

I would like every Texan to pay close attention to the next Governor elections. Put aside any prejudices you may have and look at their record. See who takes more care of Texas and Texans? Who would fight the federal government when they continue to stomp on our rights as Americans and Texans? Listen to what they say during their campaign speeches. Does it match up to their record?

This is a very important election for us. The federal government is taking control of everything and we, as Americans and Texans, cannot allow them to trample our Constitution as they did the U.S. Constitution.

They have disregarded what our forefathers said. Let us not disregard what the brave men said at the Alamo.

    all this talk of good, greasy food. . . . . . .

Sigh, I'm getting ready to marry a RD (registered dietician). I guess my days of greasy food are numbered. At least I won't be the MD giving the, "do as i say, not as I do" advise. (I know a couple of vascular surgeons that are going to be patients themselves soon)

    Anyways, back to the topic.

I'd say this is just another way of either raising taxes and/or forcing their nanny-state-intolerant-you-are-too-stupid-to-make-your-own-decisions ideals upon America.

    Basic Liberalism

    I love change.

Keeping in step with my own personal version of the Obama diet - I fully enjoyed bone in 2inch thick grilled pork chops, corn on the cob with lots of real butter, homemade green beans with fat back and salt, yeast rolls with lots of real butter, peanut butter pie followed by a large glass of whole milk then after my nap I had a chunk of Texas chocolate sheet cake followed by another glass of whole milk. Man oh man this is a hard diet to keep up with - ROFLMAO
Nothin like southern eatin to make a man thankful for being born southern.

Think chicken fried stake and taters are on the menu tonight with white cream gravy, Texas toast and maybe some greens. MMMmmmmmmmm
    man oh man.
