During the 3-1/2 years of World War 2 that started with the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor in December 1941 and ended with the Surrender of Germany and Japan in 1945, the U.S. produced 22 aircraft carriers, 8 battleships, 48 cruisers, 349 destroyers, 420 destroyer escorts, 203 submarines, 34 million tons of merchant ships, 100,000 fighter aircraft, 98,000 bombers, 24,000 transport aircraft, 58,000 training aircraft, 93,000 tanks, 257,000 artillery pieces, 105,000 mortars, 3,000,000 machine guns, and 2,500,000 military trucks.

We put 16.1 million men in uniform in the various armed services, invaded Africa, invaded Sicily and Italy, won the battle for the Atlantic, planned and executed D-Day, marched across the Pacific and Europe, developed the atomic bomb and ultimately conquered Japan and Germany.

It's worth noting, that during the almost exact amount of time, the Obama administration couldn't build a functioning web site.

For further perspective: In the years since Lyndon B. Johnson's "Great Society" we have spent more on wasted social programs than WWII cost the Nation in the midst of a great depression.

It's rather disheartening to see how this country once could do just about anything the people put their minds to and now, the people are mostly

    too busy drinking the

    to even bother trying.

Not to mention that even though we have some of the better technological minds in the world, the government can't seem to find those folks to create a, basically, sales/business site. Maybe we should suggest to Obuttf##k and the rest of the government asshats that they contact Amazon.com or any of the other online sales sites to find out how to design an effective FUNCTIONAL website. :banghead:

HHS is agreeing with the Senators that exemptions should cover "an individual whose 2013 plan was canceled and considers their new premium unaffordable."

How about those looking for insurance, not just those who had policies cancelled? I consider the premiums "unaffordable" because I don't see spending ONE FOURTH of my monthly income on health insurance premiums, for policies that have a minimum of $6,000+ in deductibles, anywhere NEAR affordable.
