So I picked up an Oculus Rift. It's very nice. Lot's of cool stuff. I'm impressed at the technology. One needed piece of software is Virtual Desktop. Multi-monitor viewing is seamless. I have yet to fire up BF4 with the gameplay stretched across dual VR monitors but Eve Online looks nice. Only one issue is that I perspire around my eyes and forehead where the device sits on my face.

That all being said, my 300BLK pistol completion has been pushed out due to acquiring an expensive item before Father's Day.

I have a small fan that is being used. It does the trick for the most part.

I've been holding off on VR for a while, OR seems awesome, I really want an HTC Vive, but the price to entry is too high for my taste. This is coming from a guy that bought a 1080ti on release day.

Amazingly enough, it's going back today. After using it off and on for a couple of days, it's just not "there" yet. So the 300 BLK pistol build is back on.

They need to go up in quality and down on price... the resolution needs to be 4k in each eye and the price needs to be below 500 bucks before I'll even look into getting one.

The only reason 4K is even a consideration in viewing devices is because it was the cheapest improvement manufactures could make and brag about.

Only makes sense on a recording device for digital pan/crop in editing.

at 1080 per eye I could see the pixels and im damn near blind... when i put on an OR i wanted to take it off immediately because it looked horrible compared to a baseline IPS 1080p monitor.. pixel density has to go up.

That was one thing. The pixel density wasn't as good as I had thought that it was going to be. I tried playing BF4 on the Rift but it looked far better on my computer monitor.
