Ruben Ramirez went on trial in June after a 14-year-old girl claimed he stuck his hand down her pants when she was nine. During his testimony, Ramirez said the only thing he ever did to the girl was give her a wedgie. After his verdict was read, Ramirez told KRIS 6 News his first priority was to get his job back. Tuesday, Capt. Todd Green confirmed Ramirez will begin with the police department after he receives preliminary testing. He also received the maximum back pay allowable by law, which began on the date of his acquittal.
