Image taken Sept., 1996 The original M 1841 6pr on its original carriage used by the Lafayette Artillery when reenacting the "Late unpleaseantness".. The Cannon and its limber with chest were issued to the unit in the 1840s as a N.H. Militia unit to replace a condemned iron gun. When the National Guard system was established,it, along with many other small Militia units across the country, were not included in the reorganization. They stayed as a social oroup and still have the cannon.
