When I got back from 'Nam in 1968, Dad co-signed with me to buy a barely used 1968 Camaro with 396/375 and 4 speed. Light blue with white pin stripes, lots of chrome. Was way too powerful!! Every red light brought a challenge from another muscle car, those were the good days. 396/375, great memories. Is when Dad taught me about replacing burned out clutches....

Yes, an OHV refit. I looked up the engine modification and still can’t figure out how the original offset valves cutout were sealed off.

The block is flat. The passages are in the head. That is where you 'relieve' a flat head.
