    Expensive, yes, but not cool, imo. I've seen blocks used as table bases before and some are gorgeous. This one, though? I'd never be able to get over those con rods being upside down. The cognitive dissonance punches me in the gut every time I see that picture.

    It took me a while to figure out why the pistons were in backwards. I didn't see the glass at first.

    The ones I've seen generally have the rods welded/bolted to the block face and support the glass with the piston crown. I saw one that was pretty cool that had the pistons in the bores, the heads mounted with a ~2 inch gap between the block, and then standoffs for the glass threaded the intake port bolt bosses. There were LED lights in the bores (among other places) for accent lighting.
