I scond that, very impressive place. Bad part is I remembered most of them, and saw them run at Green Valley Raceway

I grew up in Phoenix, first drags at Mel Larson’s strip, then at Beeline. Never got to watch at PHX International.

When I was in HS we’d have show and tell in drivers Ed. One of the guys brought a C-Gas dragster. Naturally we needed to make sure it hadn’t gotten damaged during transport, so we fired it up after school on the 800’ delivery drive. One side was 20’ high pumice block wall. Great sound! Got it back on the trailer and gone before PPD got there for the noise complaint.

Dated a girl in HS whose brother’s ride was featured one month in HotRod. Wish I still had the picture of his T-bucket. Actually she wasn’t hard to look at either. When I had known then, what I know now… hmmm kind of a theme.

There is an original Mack Bulldog that was trapped in the Pentagon during construction! I got to see that on a field trip in High School.
