I just got the results back from my MRI.

Three herniated discs in my upper/mid back.

I've been hurting for about six months with spasms that almost cause me to black out.

I kind of figured I had at least one herniated disc, three was a bit of a surprise.

Consult has been sent to the spine guys.

This back stuff is getting REALLY old, I've been dealing with it for 41 years.

Well crap. The good news is techniques have gotten much better even over the last 10 years.

Hope they get you some relief.

Check into something called Vax-D. Spinal decompression via a physical pulling of the spine. Non surgical. Worked wonders for me. Good luck with whatever treatment you go with.

Both my mid and lower back were screwed this morning. I couldn't find a neutral position that didn't make one of them worse. The lower back finally quit hurting so much but the mid back decided to go to 11.

^couldn't agree more with this, although not familiar with that specific treatment name.

Take a look at these - depending on the specifics, you may find it to be extremely effective after a bit of repeated use (definately run it by your doc first, though):

I don't know VAX D, but have an in-law who had herniated discs and used a Teeter inversion table and swore that it fixed him up. I borrowed it for a similar issue and it helped. Maybe consider it?
