Okie Governor gets it right - calls for ban on trans surgery

Oklahoma GOP Gov. Kevin Stitt is calling on lawmakers in the Sooner State to deliver a bill to his desk that "bans all gender transition surgeries" for minors.

"We must protect our most vulnerable – our children," Stitt said, explaining that "minors can’t vote, can’t purchase alcohol, can’t purchase cigarettes."

"We shouldn’t allow a minor to get a permanent gender altering surgery in Oklahoma," he continued, receiving a standing ovation. "That’s why I am calling on the legislature to send me a bill that bans all gender transition surgeries and hormone therapies on minors in the state."

Hopefully other states follow suit. Do what you want as an adult but no child should have any form of tranny surgery until they’re old enough to make the decision themselves after considering the consequences.

OK law might prohibit such surgery on innocent children but the Okie parents will just drive their kids down to Awwsten and have them "fixed up' in that commie hellhole.
Unless the OK law also punishes parents for maiming their children outside the state, this bill won't do much good.

If it stops any kids from going through it, it is a win. If they are still stupid enough to want it after they are grown, more power to them. As adults, you get to be as stupid as you choose to be. But not kids.
