Have you seen how old the daughter is? If this is a pre teen or up she got what she gets for thieving, but if its a 5 or 6 year old then the head shaving might have been a little to much. Not abuse just to far.

Back when I was a kind getting you butt busted with a belt was the norm. Have your bike taken away, no phone, no friends over.
Now it's a crime to discipline your kids!
My youngest daughter got caught shoplifting a a dollar store. I took her down the the local PD and asked they hold her in a cell for 24 yrs. The Sargent held her almost 12 hr till he needed the cell space.
She never stole anything again.

Yes, but I'm also speaking from personal experience. I too have been the "victim" of a spanking. Luckily, I never got everything I deserved.
